A 44-year-old Nelson Street resident has entered not guilty pleas to serious charges in Barbados District ‘A’ Traffic Court, according to Barbados Today. Simeon Ricardo Thorne appeared before Magistrate Jared Richards to address allegations stemming from an incident on September 9.

Thorne denied making threatening statements, specifically the words "I will shoot you," toward Paul Marshall. He also pleaded not guilty to unlawfully and maliciously wounding Marshall in connection with the same incident.

Represented by attorney Marlon Gordon, Thorne was granted bail in the amount of $5,000. The case has been adjourned, with the defendant scheduled to return to court on January 11 for further proceedings.

The case reflects ongoing criminal matters processed through Barbados’s District ‘A’ Traffic Court system, where magistrates hear both traffic-related and other criminal charges.
