Ronaldo Webster’s consistent performances have earned the Jamaican defender individual recognition at the regional level. According to the Jamaica Observer, Webster was the sole Reggae Boy selected to the Best XI following the group stage of the Concacaf Nations League A.
The defender appeared in all four of Jamaica’s group matches as the team navigated Group B with impressive results. The Reggae Boyz compiled seven points through two victories, one defeat and a draw, a record sufficient to secure second place in their group and advance to the knockout rounds.
Webster’s selection reflects Jamaica’s competitive showing in the tournament. Curaçao and Haiti dominated the Best XI selections with three players each, while Guatemala, the Dominican Republic and Honduras each contributed one or two representatives to the squad.
The Reggae Boyz will look to build on their group stage success when the Nations League continues with quarterfinal matches scheduled for November.
The Concacaf Nations League is the regional championship competition organized by the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football, featuring national teams from across the region competing in a tiered structure.
This recognition highlights Jamaica’s continued competitiveness in regional football and the individual quality of Caribbean players on the international stage, particularly as the Reggae Boyz prepare for knockout competition.
