A 43-year-old content creator with a substantial social media following suffered fatal complications after undergoing cosmetic surgery during a luxury vacation.
A prominent social media personality has become the subject of a coroners’ inquest in the United Kingdom following his death from surgical complications. Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, 43, a British-Nigerian content creator, died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure during what was intended to be a luxury getaway with his wife in Thailand in March, according to reporting on the inquest findings.
The procedure involved the injection of 40 milliliters of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine into the genital area. Following the operation, Ubiribo and his wife visited a massage facility, but he soon began experiencing severe chest discomfort and lost consciousness twice, prompting emergency medical intervention.
Ubiribo was transported to a hospital where medical staff determined he had suffered a pulmonary embolism—a life-threatening blockage of blood vessels in the lungs. He died on March 6, according to the Inner West London Coroners’ Court inquest.
According to entertainment news outlet TMZ, Ubiribo had cultivated a substantial following of approximately 185,000 people on Instagram, where he regularly shared content reflecting his affluent lifestyle. His documented assets included a US$1.1 million residence in Los Angeles’ Crenshaw neighborhood and a US$600,000 apartment in London.
Cosmetic procedures involving injectable fillers and surgical enhancements have become increasingly popular among content creators and social media personalities seeking to maintain or enhance their public image. Medical complications from such procedures, while relatively uncommon, can include blood clots, infections, and other serious conditions, particularly when performed in facilities with varying regulatory standards.
