Beach Cricket Blast Returns to Carlisle Bay with Star-Studded Weekend of Action

Three-day festival brings together international influencers, local talent and young cricketers for entertainment and community engagement.

The countdown is underway for Beach Cricket Blast 2026, a three-day festival designed to blend sport, entertainment and community connection at one of Barbados’s most iconic coastal venues. Organised by Cricket Impact Group, the event runs from September 11 to 13 and aims to introduce new audiences to cricket while celebrating the game’s cultural significance on the island.

Friday’s opening day kicks off with the RBC Community Blast, bringing together 250 students from 12 primary schools across Barbados for morning activities centred on cricket skills, challenges and interactive experiences. The day will also showcase the VTEX Skillz Challenge, a competitive spectacle pitting six international content creators and influencers against a seven-person team of Barbados-based personalities and public figures. According to Barbados Today, the challenge will span six beach-inspired events—Battle of the Bats, Ocean Slip, Sky High Sand Catch, Ocean Bowl Off, Five in the Bucket and The Final Over—designed to showcase skill, athleticism and entertainment value.

The heart of the festival centres on a six-team tournament competing over two days of beach cricket action. Returning squads Deloitte (runners-up in 2025), Guardian Life and Republic Bank will defend their previous campaigns, while newcomers RBC, the MVPz Content Creator All-Stars and Barmy Army bring fresh energy to the competition. Organisers expect the blend of corporate teams, content creators and community involvement to deliver an engaging weekend that connects established cricket fans with new audiences.

Beach Cricket Blast has established itself as a platform for blending traditional cricket with modern entertainment and influencer culture, drawing corporate sponsors and content creators alongside grassroots community participation.

As a Barbados-based festival celebrating local cricket talent and international engagement, Beach Cricket Blast reflects the Caribbean’s enduring passion for the sport and its evolution to reach younger, digitally connected audiences through content creators and influencers.
